I tried the entire menu and I must say (so did my family) it was AMAZING! I would recommend the pork chops, chicken wings, catfish, greens, macaroni and cheese, and they have this roll that is secretly a meal. Two words, "Do it!"

I enjoyed my time here. The food was good at times, but overall passable. The best part was how beautiful the food looked. I even liked that it came in to go containers with larger portions than would have fit in styrofoam. Unfortunately A few things holding me back from loving this place. First, weird dinning set up. It really felt like they haven't gotten over covid regulations. Second, the food was inconsistent. Most places you either get, sloppy overly seasoned extra greasy soul. Or un seasoned very healthy soul. This place was both. Third, my fish was greasier on the inside than my Mac and cheese. Too be honest the Mac looked like it was going to disappoint due to how dry and colorless it looked, but I actually really enjoyed the flavor. The greens were on point. But my fish, it disappointed. So beautiful, but overly crispy breaded and it ended up kind of mushy while trying to break apart and eat. Idk, maybe a lighter grease would help for the fish frying. Maybe plumper filets. Idk. But I doubt I would get more fish. My wings however were tasty. Mixed feelings indeed. Now for my water review, they gave us complimentary bottled water. Nuff said. I'd come back. Not right away, but I'll be back.

Finally tried this place for take-out (for Mardi Gras) and WOW will be be back. The gumbo and rice was delicious, spot on. The catfish though - OH MY WORD. Absolutely perfectly breaded seasoned and cooked - and it even survived takeout travel well. Easily one of the best catfish preparations I've ever had. Really great food and friendly staff - can't wait to try other things.
